چکیده
Variations in pavement density have been widely monitored and investigated, both laboratory field experiments, since the compaction of is so critical to its long-term performance quality. In contrast testing, tests are simpler produce but less accurate. Destructive drilled samples used conduct testing; however, they limited their ability assess information at specific areas. The use computationally aided approaches, such as Finite Element Method (FEM) Discrete (DEM), research involving asphalt mixtures increasing, these methods simulate evaluate characteristics macroscopic microscopic scales. Individual particle behavior level cannot be fully represented using FEM alone, computing cost utilizing DEM approach alone prohibitively high. objective this work pre-compaction process by coupled FEM-DEM approach. order investigate impact mixtures’ gradation, a dense-graded mixture (AC 11) gap graded (PA were simulated. Different paving speeds (4, 5, 6 m/min) applied on preliminary model AC 11 study effect process. By comparing angular velocity, which worked reference quality, it was demonstrated that grade performed better compared PA mixtures. Moreover, has an compaction, speed carefully kept within reasonable range maximize quality project efficiency.

Rut Resistant Asphalt Pavements
The three major distress conditions affecting the performance of asphalt pavements are permanent deformation or rutting, fatigue or load associated cracking, and low temperature or thermal cracking. In an earlier technical topics article (Fall, 1998), we examined the causes of fatigue cracking and the importance of good compaction during construction to help minimize this type of distress. In t...

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...
15 صفحه اولDynamic Hydraulic Conductivity (Permeability) of Asphalt Pavements
External pressures applied to a saturated pavement pore structure are often dynamic due to the repeated tire loading. Therefore, a dynamic permeability constant is more realistic representation of the response of a pavement pore structure than the Darcy’s permeability. To investigate the unsteady (dynamic) fluid flow in asphalt pavements, a 3D fluid flow model was developed using the lattice Bo...
متن کاملUltrasound data for laboratory calibration of an analytical model to calculate crack depth on asphalt pavements
This article outlines the ultrasound data employed to calibrate in the laboratory an analytical model that permits the calculation of the depth of partial-depth surface-initiated cracks on bituminous pavements using this non-destructive technique. This initial calibration is required so that the model provides sufficient precision during practical application. The ultrasonic pulse transit times...
متن کاملThe Fate of Pollutants in Porous Asphalt Pavements, Laboratory Experiments to Investigate Their Potential to Impact Environmental Health
Pervious Paving Systems (PPS) are part of a sustainable approach to drainage in which excess surface water is encouraged to infiltrate through their structure, during which potentially toxic elements, such as metals and hydrocarbons are treated by biodegradation and physical entrapment and storage. However, it is not known where in the PPS structure these contaminants accumulate, which has impl...
